Mariah Thelen is a Southern California native who has called Middle Tennessee home since 2018. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boise State University and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University as a second career and after raising her 3 children.
Mariah is a talented clinician known for her warm, empathetic approach and her commitment to helping individuals and families experience healing and deeper connection. She believes that our family systems profoundly shape us, and with compassionate support, we can move toward emotional wellness and meaningful relationships.
She has continued her love for learning by completing her Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach to strengthening emotional bonds and improving relational dynamics.
Mariah brings over 18 years of experience supporting parents of children with special needs, offering insight, understanding, and care for the unique demands they face. She also draws from her personal life—having been married for 22 years—as she supports couples in building healthy, lasting partnerships.
Outside the therapy room, Mariah enjoys spending quality time with her husband, their family, and their golden retriever.
