With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Colorado State University and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University, Amanda is a South Louisiana native who brings a diverse perspective to her work as a counselor.
She believes understanding, addressing, and owning our feelings is the crux of meaningful change, and she encourages her clients to express their emotions fully in order to find the growth and transformation they desire for true healing. With specialized training in attachment based work through EFT (emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals), and trained in Brainspotting for Trauma, she brings expertise into the counseling office with her clients to promote a new depth of healing and change to the counseling office.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys writing, watching movies, being outside, and spending quality time with family and friends. She brings a unique listening ear with thoughtful questions and considerations to her sessions and looks forward to helping others discover how to thrive in the world as their authentic selves.
